EMERGENCY PROCEDURES

All staff are familiar with the FVDHS emergency procedures and there is a routine checking of fire and emergency warning signal. Staff and students take this very seriously and are made aware of what needs to happen if there are any issues at the school.

CLASS HOURS / BREAKS

At FVDHS, the siren rings to indicate the start of lunch and fruit break and the end of the school day. We play our school song to invite students into their classrooms at the start of school, end of lunch and fruit break. We aim for all the students to be in class by the end of this song.

If you are dropping them off at the start of the day – please listen out for our song and point the students towards their classroom. If you are picking them up at the end of the day – please come into the car park and the teachers will bring your child to you.

Monday - Thursday
School Starts: 8.00am
Lunch: 10.50 - 11.30am
End of day: 2.30pm

Friday
End of Day: 12.40pm

CANTEEN

• Students who arrive before 8.20am will be marked in the lunch book and receive a hot lunch as normal. (For high school, lunch books will be provided for each form group and individual names must be given to the canteen.)
• Students who arrive after 8.20am need to get a late note from the front office and their hot lunch will be ordered by the front office.
• Students who arrive after 9am need to get a late note from the front office and their names will be given to the canteen by the front office staff to receive an emergency lunch.
